HOW ENTRUSTET KEEPS YOUR PERSONAL DATA SAFE |
ENTRUSTET SECURES DATA WITH BANK LEVEL SECURITY |
| We use 256-bit encryption for all of your private data and around the clock security at our data center. Our database is secured by Verisign and we are protected by McAfee Hackersafe. |
YOU CANNOT ACCESS USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS VIA YOUR ENTRUSTET ACCOUNT |
| Your data is write only, meaning that your usernames and passwords cannot be accessed by anyone, including you, until we've double verified your death. Please see our death verification process for more information about how we keep your data safe. |
ENTRUSTET SECURES YOUR PERSONAL DATA USING BANK-LEVEL DATA SECURITY FOR ALL INFORMATION WE STORE |
|
Entrustet always transmits personal information securely.
We store transaction information in a secure facility protected around the clock by security guards.
Our secure datacenters require keycard access as a condition of admittance.
All our employees pass financial and criminal background checks.
The Entrustet website has received the VeriSign security seal and is tested daily by McAfee Hackersafe. |
YOUR USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE BY ANYONE UNTIL YOU HAVE PASSED AWAY |
|
Entrustet stores your usernames and passwords on write only servers using 256-bit encryption, meaning that you cannot access or decrypt your personal data until we have double verified your death.
Our decryption keys are stored on separate servers in different locations, rendering personal information stored on Entrustet safer than your online banking information.
You have your own unique encryption and decryption key for your own personal data.
You may only view and organize your digital assets list and your last wishes.
You may not login to any of your online accounts using your Entrustet account.
No one, other than you, may view your digital assets until we have double verified your death. Your heirs and digital executor will not have access to your digital assets until this point.
No one at Entrustet will ever have access to your usernames or passwords. They are encrypted and may only be transferred to your heirs according to your wishes after Entrustet has double verified your death.

ENTRUSTET'S SECURITY TECHNOLOGY AND PROCEDURES |
|
Security is our number one priority at Entrustet. We have designed our website with security as our main focus. Here's some of the security technology that we use to keep your personal information safe and secure:
Entrustet transmits all personal information over SSL (Secure Socket Layer) in order to prevent hackers from "listening in" on the transmissions.
All of your personal information, including usernames and passwords, are fully encrypted.
All of your usernames and passwords are stored on a write only server and the decryption keys are stored offline in order to prevent unauthorized use of your personal information.
Our servers are located in a secure facility protected by keycard scanners and around the clock security guards.
Entrustet uses bank-level data security standards, which means that we encrypt, audit, and backup your data in order to keep your data safe.
Entrustet attempts to hack our own site each day. We are members of Hackersafe by McAfee, which you can see by looking for the McAfee logo at the bottom of each page on the site.
Entrustet uses VeriSign to protect our databases. We have been awarded the VeriSign Security Seal that you see at the bottom of all pages.

HOW YOU CAN KEEP YOUR COMPUTER SECURE |
| We have taken measures to ensure your privacy and security once you have entrusted your private data to Entrustet, but to paraphrase Smokey the Bear, "only you can protect your own computer." We've included a few tips on how to protect your personal information on your own computer. |
TIPS FOR PROTECTING YOUR COMPUTER'S SECURITY |
|
Stay up to date with the most current versions of your operating system and browsers. OS and browser companies provide updates to close security holes that they uncover in their systems.
Set up Antivirus and Anti-spyware software programs on your computer and keep them up to date.
Do not download unknown attachments in emails you receive. These attachments may contain programs or viruses intended to steal your personal information.
Do not save your Entrustet login or password in your browser to save time on login. If your computer is lost or stolen and you have auto filled your usernames and passwords, the person who has stolen your computer may be able to login to your account.
Update your Entrustet password frequently and try to use a completely different password for Entrustet that you do not use for other purposes.
|
TIPS FOR USING YOUR COMPUTER SAFELY |
|
Do not share your Entrustet username and password with anyone.
Log off every time you finish using Entrustet.
Try to avoid public computers such as computers located in shared offices, public libraries, Internet cafes and other locations where you would use a shared computer.
Always remember to log out of Entrustet when you are finished using the website.
|
HOW TO PREVENT FRAUD AND PHISHING |
|
Entrustet representatives will never ask you for your password.
Entrustet will never ask you to fill out personal information in an email. If you ever receive an email from Entrustet, please go to Entrustet.com and start from there.
Do not open an email if you do not recognize the sender and be particularly cautious of any attachments to emails from unrecognized sources.
|
HOW YOU CAN REPORT A PHISHING ATTEMPT |
| If believe that you have been the victim of a phishing attack related to your Entrustet account, please email us at info@entrustet.com. |
